![]() Of course this is not as easy and convenient as a "wrapper" insert, but as mentioned no such wrapper exists for AU->VST host and this does indeed work quite nicely. Here is a quick screen-shot of me using the VST Midishaper, and an AU of Echoboy as an insert from my host. This is easily set up on a Mac, I can't comment on the PC side of things. ![]() use Bidule as like an external FX insert, you need to use MIDI sync and an audio bridge like Soundflower. With MIDI plug-ins the Rewire mode is fine, but if you want Audio Ins/Outs from both programs, i.e. I can confim on a Mac at least, that the 64bit version does run a bit sluggish, so run with the 32bit.Īlso, might I suggest to try using Bidule in stand-alone mode synced to your host instead of the plug-in? That's the way I use it, and it is far from a CPU hog in that scenario on my machine, as a matter of fact this is a really useful technique in spreading CPU resources for hosts that don't handle CPU allocation in the best of manners across multiple-cores. ![]() I tried Bidule for VST>AU, it turned out to be an incredible CPU hog. What was your setup? ![]()
